“How have you changed your life since the op?” I was asked by a friend after a major, life-saving operation.
“I’m going on long walks and taking lots and lots of photos!” was my reply.
After a lifetime of taking (bad) photos of the now grown-up kids, I enrolled in a course to teach me how to take photos and process them properly, and watched hours of YouTube videos.
I bought a Sony a7iii and lens (I knew this hobby was an expensive one, but jeekers!!!!) and out I went!
Here is a selection of my favourites and, hopefully, they will show that they are getting a little better.
Send me a message in the “Contact” section whether you like them or not and what I could do to improve.

Landscape
Having a home in the most beautiful place in Italy & living near the Surrey hills, this type of photography is a must for me
Nature
Photographing flora and fauna is highly satisfying as each image is unique, highlighting a moment in time when a bee is collecting pollen or a wild flower is in bloom
Cityscapes
These are a mix of my home city and other cities visited, trying not to snap the usual "tourist" photos but sometimes not being able to resist
Miscellaneous
Here are other photos I've taken that don't fit into the other categories, all part of experimenting - you gotta try some new things, right!?
